I can't rave about these shoes enough! When I purchased these clogs, the price was an absolute steal. I paid half of what is being charged currently. At first, I was a little concerned that perhaps these weren't the actual brand name, but a 'knockoff' I've been reading about in the reviews.I'm disabled from two failed back surgeries in 2011 and have to ambulate with a cane. As a guy, I never really put too much thought or money into shoes throughout the years, with the exception to the sneakers I would purchase. After seeing the doctor and after examining me due to the different issues I was having with my feet I was told time to 'pay close attention' to what I am purchasing and to definitely start purchasing 'higher end shoes' In return for the expense, I will receive better support and quality, and more than likely will receive significant relief to the current issues I was having at the time. Since I am at home the majority of the time I only need something to wear around the house. Prior to the current issues, I was having, I tried slippers and found they are too warm to wear year-round, regardless of what slipper I purchased. (I can't stand for my feet to be too warm or hot) Additionally, slippers didn't provide the recommended support necessary to cease the problems. The doctor recommended purchasing higher end shoes with the addition of a slide on, as opposed to a closed-ended shoe I had always worn in the past, due to constant swelling of feet and ankles.I had found a fantastic pair of slide on's shortly after the doctor's recommendation. The shoes lasted for five years. When I went to purchase again, at first couldn't find them, then realized the design had changed with a unique heel. You were now given the option to bend the heel inward, to wear as a slide on, or pull the heel up, to wear as a closed-end shoe. Additionally, the model name of the original shoe I purchased had changed. After finding the similar shoes again, I ordered 3 different models, and all of them had sizing issues. The company is now making the shoe way too wide for what is necessary for my foot. I was at a loss of what I would do next and also disappointed as I had really liked the prior shoes I had owned and worn for five years. Then one day while online I was researching what a good shoe would be for the issue of swollen ankles and feet due to poor support. I was surprised to find that 'clogs' were being highly recommended for a good solution to these issues. I had always thought clogs to be for women only and didn't think they were a comfortable shoe at all from looking at them.Afterward, I checked out different stores online and wasn't thrilled with how 'high end' these clogs were priced at! Some were priced at $170 to over $200 dollars. Then one day on Amazon, I saw the Sanita clogs above and they were priced more reasonably. I kept vacillating back and forth as to whether I wanted to wear clogs or not, until one day, the Sanita clogs I had checked out and found to be pretty neutral and something that looked more masculine than the other clogs I had viewed, were priced at a ridiculously low price. I had read other reviews that some of the clogs were being produced in China, and not with the original manufacturer. Obviously, I was suspicious, because the pricing was SOOO low. I finally decided to purchase them and thought if they were, in fact, a 'fake' Sanita, I would return the shoes to Amazon.I received the clogs and after inspecting them and researching online what Sanita clogs manufacturing markings should have on the shoes, I found, in fact, were there. Additionally, the leather is definitely high-quality leather. (I love the part that I only have to use mild soap and water to clean and use my finger to wipe away any markings or small water spots. I would highly recommend anyone who purchases this type of leather to make sure to buy a waterproof product and treat them.) When I put them on, they were a little tight. However, I had read there is a 'breaking in' period and to be patient.I still am shocked. The shoes are in fact one of the most comfortable pairs of shoes I have ever worn. Once the clogs were broken in, around a week and half of wearing every day, I feel as though I don't have shoes on while sitting down. While walking in them it feels as though my feet are being massaged with each step. The swelling of ankles and feet are not an issue and I have actually come to like the clogs. Due to comfort and also the pricing I am giving these particular model of clogs a five-star rating. If I could give higher, I would. I have decided to purchase another pair, in black (waiting to find out if those too, will be priced 'ridiculously lower', lol, before purchasing immediately) I purchased the 'antique brown', due to alway purchasing shoes in the color black, I wanted to try something different. I'm glad I took the chance with the purchase as I can't be happier.I've only had the clogs since November 7, 2018, I will update at a later date if I find the quality to be an issue. Leather type shoes and products, if true quality leather, as I feel these definitely are, should last. Additionally, I have read about other type models of clogs, the heel and platform 'breaking in half' while walking in them. If I have any negative issues in the future, I will definitely update this review. Otherwise, if you find no updates, the clogs are still being worm with a smile on my face.I have been pleased with the shoe. The fit and comfort is fine. The only issue is one of the shoes, I have 2 or 3 of the same staples that want to work their way out, but I just take a hammer and gently tap back in place. After having a bad experience with the Chinese made shoes in regard to a size I bought these supposedly made in the EU clogs and I've ordered a 1 full size larger. Guess what? They run exactly one size smaller. Is it my luck or what? Returned.I've been wearing Dansko / Sanita footwear for 20+ years. These fit perfectly out of the box. I'm a size 9.5E US / 43 EU.As others have said, I've noticed inconsistent sizing with Dansko since being manufactured in China. I plan on staying with Sanita as they're made in Poland.I bought these when my wife recommended them for around the house. I have plantar fascitis which makes walking barefoot or in soft support slippers very uncomfortable. Noticed immediate support and lessening of pain when I put these on. Very comfortable and appear to be well made. Very pleased with these.I’ve searched a long time to find clogs as comfortable & good looking as these. They are far better & more comfortable than the Dansk clogs I own. It’s not even close! I highly recommend these shoes!!My chef husband wore Dansko clogs for years but was unhappy with the quality the past couple of pairs, not the same. But a friend recommended Sanita- and they’re GREAT!Great shoes. These seem to be better quality than the Danskos they replaced
